Trucks and buses: European ROADPOL checks from 16 to 22 November

The last check week of the year by the European network of traffic police: driving and rest times, brakes, tyres, loads and documents under scrutiny.
From 16 to 22 November 2026 ROADPOL, the European network of traffic police, runs its last «Truck & Bus» campaign of the year. The other two in 2026 took place in February and May.
Traffic police from almost every European Union country take part, together with law enforcement from Switzerland, Serbia and Turkey and officials of the European Labour Authority.
What is checked
- compliance with driving times and rest periods;
- the condition of the vehicles: wear and fitness of tyres and braking system;
- load securing;
- authorisations and transport documents;
- the driver's fitness to drive.
A practical tip
